Inspiration from a documentary

I was watching a documentary about child abuse a few weeks ago and it left a very deep impression. I felt disturbed and was always thinking about those neglected children. Some even end up as child prostitutes and slave. What is worse is when the parent themselves sold their kids as prostitutes to clear up their debt.

During those saddened episode, I came up with this picture collages consisting of more than 15 separate pictures I got from www.sxc.hu. Give your own opinion. See if you can feel the mood that I want to portray....

Bedok View Sec. Recruitment brochure

When time is not on your side, you'll try to make do with whatever resources you have in hand to give the best that you can achieve.

I am given the opportunity to design this brochure for BVSS. Unfortunately, the time given is a bit short. I am confident that I can do better than this if given more time, but I guess this is good enough even though I'm not too satisfied with the end result.

Akademi Cili Padi

I'm comissioned to design a corporate logo for a children talent school recently. As per the name of the academy, I've to come up with an illustration of a cartoon character of a cheerful chili. After scouring for various sources, I have a good idea how it will turn out.

From a rough sketch to the computer... this is what I've done. This is not final. I know that there'll be lots of changes here and there, but I guess this first draft is good.

My Digital Art collection

I love digital art and I've been tinkering with it for as long as I can remember, but was not confident enough to showcase it. I took the courage now because I feel I'm ready to show the world my talent. As a start, I have four of my recent work here. I hope you like it. If you want a large hi-res poster of this, do email me>> pixel3graphic@gmail.com. Don't worry, it will be affordable.

ART CLOCK

I'm currently working on this project of producing what I called "Art Clock". I've been toying with this idea for quite sometime, but don't have the luxury of time to actually sit down and do it. Here are some of the sample that I've done.

What's great about this clock is that it'll have a beautiful background as well as motivational quotes on it. It is also a working wall-clock. If you want it to be personalised (i.e with your own picture as a background), it can be done. There's no minimum quantity required.

For the time being I've not decided on the pricing yet, but I hope it will be affordable to everybody. Do visit here often for updates if you're interested. Or you can email me > pixel3graphic@gmail.com

Hadith posters

I'm working on this posters for Al-Amin mosque. This will probably be printed on A3 & A2 sizes. What's interesting about this project is that it will help to raise fund for the mosque through the sale of the printed posters. Those Jemaah who wish to order them can contact Al-Amin Mosque directly. Here are some of the sample:

Old posters revisited

This four posters is actually re-done from an old posters given to me by Sri Warisan. The original one was handmade, i.e cut and paste. So, I just want to retain that feel. No fancy stuff . No photoshop treatment. This was done totally in CorelDraw.

The pictures were shot from the poster itself using a digital camera. Reason..... I just want to retain a simplistic look to it without having too much frills. Also, I'll definitely have a difficult time to scan an A1 size poster.

I just added some traditional borders and have a watermarked "freehand" writing as a background.

Invitation card for a reunion

This is an invitation card and ticket artwork done for JJC Reunion. This is for electronic mass email as well as for printed copy. I used an old picture of a kampong house and photoshopped it to make it look old and rustic. The whole image is kind of nostalgic. The green leaves & ketupat adds a touch of kampong ambience to it.
